Broken Hill City Council has used APV Valuers and Asset Management (APV) for the last two years to complete independent valuations for its road reserves assets which include roads, stormwater, kerb and channel, roundabouts and council property.

Dave Miranda, the Council’s Asset Planner Roads and Footpaths said the valuations can be quite complex and that an independent valuation was important.

“This is the first time we’ve outsourced these valuations and they can get quite complex as there are different levels for each asset and each may have its own set of condition ratings,” he said.

“We can monitor valuations, but it can be beneficial that we get independent valuations done.

“APV delivered everything they promised. They were available when we needed them particularly with any questions after auditing and their methodology proved robust.

“We found them good to deal with and they delivered what they said they would.”
