Asset management

Our approach to asset management reflects our overall philosophy: it must assist in our clients’ long-term financial management.

We start by understanding what assets are intended to do and for how long. The goal is to ensure they deliver that service as cost-effectively as possible. This is achieved through planning around asset creation, acquisition, operation, maintenance, renewal and disposal – all with the objective of meeting customer and community needs, now and in the future.

At APV, our asset management services are backed by unrivalled expertise. Our Director, David Edgerton, is recognised as a national authority on the subject. He delivers targeted education programs and participates in key industry committees across the country.

Since 2006, David has worked closely with the Australian Centre for Excellence in Asset Management to develop and implement asset management frameworks for local governments and not-for-profit organisations throughout Australia. This collaboration provides our clients with access to leading industry insights and experience across asset valuation, depreciation, governance, and engineering.

APV’s asset management services are delivered by working closely with a range of industry experts and include:

  • providing asset management programs and workshops (including cultural change)
  • assessing asset management maturity
  • implementing effective and appropriate asset management frameworks
  • developing service level manuals
  • developing asset management plans (including lifecycle costing, financial and condition modeling and forecasting)
  • integrating asset management and asset accounting.
