The APV team is led by our executive team, Alfio Ponticello (Managing Director), David Edgerton (Director) and Michelle Cross (General Manager). Between them they have more than 75 years’ experience and share a hands on and personal approach, passion for productive client relationships, thirst for innovation, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Alfio Ponticello
Managing Director
Valuer
Alfio (Alf) has extensive experience in asset valuation for state and local governments, non-for-profit organisations and government-owned corporations.
Alfio is proud of his unblemished record in delivering high-quality valuations for financial accounting, market value, insurance and lease assessments. He is also extremely proud of APV’s achievements and passionate about building on the company’s success and leading it into the future.

David Edgerton
Director
FCPA
David is an internationally recognised leader in asset accounting and asset management. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and in 2001 was named the National Public Sector CPA of the Year. Some of his career highlights include:

Michelle Cross
General Manager
Michelle was appointed to the role of General Manager in 2022 and holds the primary responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day management of APV including quotes, valuations, scheduling, performance and client liaison.
She originally joined APV in 2008 and has specialised in the valuation of land, buildings and other structures with a focus mainly on local governments, not-for-profit entities and universities.
Michelle is a Registered Certified Practicing Valuer.

Daniel Atherton
Registered Valuer
Daniel has been a senior valuer with APV since graduating from University of Queensland in 2003. He has conducted valuations and provided Asset Management advice for land, buildings, site improvements and infrastructure for a large number of private, not-for-profit and public sector entities.
Daniel is a RICS Registered Valuer.

Simon Bossie
Registered Valuer
Simon joined APV in 2020 and is a Registered Valuer having completed a Bachelor of Property and Real Estate.
Since then he has specialised in the valuation of land, buildings and other structures with a focus mainly on local governments, not-for-profit entities, universities and rental determinations.
Simon is a RICS Registered Valuer.

Samuel Gardner
Assistant Valuer
Samuel is an Assistant Valuer recently joining the APV team after working within the property and real estate industry.
Samuel has completed a Bachelor of Property Development and Valuation and is currently enhancing his skill set by studying a Graduate Diploma of Finance.
Since joining APV, Samuel has gained valuable experience in Fair Value valuations, Insurance valuations and Rental valuations.

Jake Musgrave
Assistant Valuer
Jake is an Assistant Valuer recently joining the APV team after working within the finance and information & technology sectors.
Jake has completed a Bachelor of Property which he achieved with academic excellence.
Since joining APV, Jake has gained valuable experience in Fair Value valuations and Insurance valuations.

Janaka Weerasinghe
Engineer / Infrastructure Valuer
Janaka is a Senior Engineer with bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He has more than seven years’ experience in Civil Engineering Design and Construction Project Management and nine years’ experience in infrastructure asset condition inspections and valuation.
Prior to working with APV, Janaka was employed with a private sector company involved with Hydro Power Plant design & construction. He also worked in Water and Sewerage designs sector as well.
Janaka has vast experience in the valuation of complex infrastructure assets such as Dams, Ports and Tunnels as well as plant and machinery valuation.
John Deac
Engineer / Infrastructure Valuer
John has over 25 years extensive experience in asset valuation for corporate having joined APV in 1993, This includes local governments, non-for-profit organisations and government-owned corporations as well as project controls and estimation experience related to the coal mining industry.
John has been primarily responsible for the project management and valuation of complex plant and equipment and infrastructure assets such as ports, airports, universities, roads, water and sewage treatment.
Jason McDonald
Technical Officer Infrastructure
Jason joined APV as a Technical Officer in 2015 following seven years working in a technical role with Wide Bay Water (part of Fraser Coast Regional Council). He works directly with our clients regarding asset registers, data and asset hierarchies and assists the engineers with the valuations.
